The Last Murder at the End of the World + It’s No Time!
The Last Murder at the End of the World by Stuart Turton is a high-stakes thriller set in a dystopian future where the world outside a remote island has been destroyed by a deadly fog. The only remaining survivors are living on a seemingly idyllic island. It consists of 122 villagers and three scientists who live in harmony, governed by strict rules and nightly curfews. However, this peace is shattered when one of the scientists is brutally murdered. The twist: the security system protecting the island has been compromised, and the fog will engulf them all if the murder isn’t solved within 107 hours. To make matters worse, everyone’s memories of the previous night have been erased, leaving the islanders to unravel the mystery of the killer among them—without knowing who they can trust or if they might be the murderer themselves. With time running out, the tension mounts as they race to solve the crime and save themselves from the impending doom and the literal end of the world.
