Trigger Warnings + Basil Hayden's
“Trigger Warning" by Neil Gaiman
This is a tricky book to describe succinctly - part fictional short story, part creative verse, and part explanation. It’s book magic all wrapped up in the skillful writing of the indomitable Neil Gaiman. In serious, there is something for every reader. You want a twisted fairy tale where the stepmother makes her step daughter buy her drugs? Got it. You interested in poetry that takes a bit of a hard think? Done. You burn for a Sherlock Holmes piece? Sure thing. You looking for a episode of Doctor Who? Boom! Delivered, delivered, delivered.
This varying book is complicated enough with the stylistic changes. It deserves all your attention. Settle back into this bad boy with a beautiful swig of the Basil Hayden’s. This small batch bourbon is spicy, honeyed, and has a lovely light bite at the end. Enough to warm you up, but keeps all your focus on the words ahead of you… that is until you have one too many swigs. Either way, it is a win. If you can’t see the words anymore, just keep drinking.
